Elias Seidl
Elias is a biathlete and has been part of the JOKA team since the 2021/2022 season. At the Youth and Junior World Championships, he won silver with the mixed and youth relay teams. In the 2023/2024 season, he secured first place in the overall standings of the German Junior Cup and celebrated his first participation in the IBU Cup. Elias was born with a love of winter sports: His mother is the well-known former biathlete and Olympic champion Martina Seidl (née Zellner). Parallel to his competitive sport, Elias is training with the German Federal Police.

How did you get into biathlon?
Through a taster session in Ruhpolding, before that I did cross-country skiing and Nordic combined

Favourite sport right after biathlon and why?
Climbing, for me it's a cool balance to everyday training and you spend a nice time with friends.
What does nature mean to you?
Freedom, peace and relaxation
