Philipp Nawrath
Philipp Nawrath, who comes from Nesselwang in the Allgäu region, discovered his great passion for biathlon through a former school friend. After making it into the IBU Cup and achieving several top ten finishes, Philipp competed in the World Cup for the first time in March 2017. In order to be able to practise his sport professionally, Philipp works for the Bavarian state police as a police sergeant. He is now a permanent fixture in the World Cup team and has already achieved 31 top ten finishes and two victories in his career.

Why do you like working with the JOKA brand?

Do you have certain rituals or habits before a competition?
I always tie my shoes a second time before a competition. It gives me the right feel for the ski.
Favourite sport after biathlon and why?
My favourite sport after biathlon is cycling. I really enjoy riding up mountain passes on two wheels or really putting my foot down on the flat.
