Sustainability through Econyl
Econyl is the brand for recycled nylon. What makes it special: Not only is the material completely recyclable, it is also made from 100% recycled fibres, obtained for example from old nylon fishing nets, carpet and other polyamide product remnants. This process not only reduces the impact on the environment, Econyl also has identical properties to new nylon. This means that it is in no way inferior in terms of quality and can be used again and again. This means: creating new products without wasting resources.
Colourfast thanks to solution-dyed technology
Carpets with through-dyed solution-dyed yarns are particularly colourfast and robust, resistant to sunlight and many cleaning agents and disinfectants. In the production of these yarns, the colour is already incorporated into the material during fibre production and is not applied to the outside of the fibre as is usually the case. This process not only makes the carpets extremely durable, but also conserves resources: with conventional dyeing methods, the entire colour roll is dyed in a large dyeing tank. Under these circumstances, it takes time, a lot of chemicals and a great deal of energy for the colour to penetrate all the layers and stay there. With solution dyeing, on the other hand, the individual fibres are dyed before further processing, which saves large amounts of water, energy and chemicals.
Edgings
Customised accents: With an easy-care polyester border in 32 colour variants, the carpets, measuring a maximum of 4 x 6 metres (square) or 4 metres in diameter (round), create elegant accents. The non-slip backing made from 100% recycled felt ensures optimum slip resistance. The Varia, Mikado, Royal and Secrets qualities can also be used in all JOKA carpet edging variants on request.
Carpet tiles
Carpet planks and tiles from JOKA have the advantage that the floor surface can be completely customised. You can define walkways, create areas or simply give a large area more dynamism. Carpet tiles are not only uncomplicated to lay, but also easy to remove. This means that carpet tiles can be replaced individually without having to replace the entire carpet.
Another advantage: JOKA carpet tiles can be easily lifted up if access to the subfloor is required. This gives technicians easy access to cabling if necessary. This is a great advantage in areas that are subject to constant change, such as conference halls or agile workplaces.
