From timber merchant to innovative brand supplier
Jordan Suisse AG was acquired by the Jordan Group, Kassel, in 2016 - at that time still as Licorado AG. Jordan Suisse AG's first-class product selection for the residential and contract market ranges from parquet, laminate, carpet and designer flooring to home textiles. Wood for flooring, sound insulation and decking complete the product range. Jordan Suisse thus serves trade professionals such as floor layers, interior decorators and woodworkers as well as building owners, architects and specialist retailers via its headquarters in Buchs and two other branches with showrooms in Lonay and Freidorf near St. Gallen.
Partner of the trade
Since its foundation over 100 years ago, the Jordan Group has been characterized by its close partnership with trade businesses. It offers its customers a comprehensive marketing cooperation with the “JOKA specialist consultants”. Jordan Suisse AG also launched the JOKA specialist advisor concept in 2021 and has already gained a number of tradespeople as partners. This provides local trades businesses with support to position themselves as a special trades business by offering the best possible range and service
A culture of innovation at Jordan
Wood has been an integral part of the company as a natural, sustainable raw material for over 100 years. In cooperation with suppliers, we emphasise resource-saving and innovative production processes and focus on robust and easy-care products. For example, natural design flooring made from almost 100 per cent wood or durable decking boards made from recycled wind turbine rotor blades stand for innovation.
With the construction of the JOKA headquarters in Kassel, we as a company have combined innovative and ecological goals. Operations are virtually CO2-free and the photovoltaic system supplies an additional 5,000 households with electricity. Since 2009, photovoltaic systems have also been installed on all other new Jordan buildings, which cover up to 100% of the sites' own consumption; surplus electricity is fed into the respective grids.
Innovation is a central element in JOKA's brand code and has always been the driving force behind the company. The basis for this is, above all, active communication with employees, customers and business partners.
