Laura Gimmler

At the age of five, Laura was enthusiastic about cross-country skiing for the first time.

At the age of 16, Laura made the leap into the junior squad of the German Ski Association. She made her World Cup debut in 2015 and at the home World Championships in Oberstdorf, Laura finished the gruelling 30-kilometre classic race in an outstanding tenth place. In the 2022/23 season, Laura won the silver medal together with the 4 × 5 km relay team at the World Championships in Planica, a huge success for the DSV cross-country skiers.
