From timber merchant to innovative brand supplier
Tradition and innovation go hand in hand for us as the Jordan family business: founded in 1919 as a local timber merchant in Kassel, we are now one of the leading suppliers of floor coverings, doors, wood, wood-based materials, sun protection and living fabrics for the upmarket residential and commercial sector in Central Europe. Now in its fourth generation, W. & L. Jordan GmbH is successfully represented at 78 locations in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland and Italy. With our own brand JOKA (JOrdanKAssel), we stand internationally for products that combine modern design, functionality and sustainability.
Partner of the trade
As a reliable partner, we offer our customers from the trade and specialised trade a complete range of interior design products: everything from a single source. Numerous interior decorators, floor layers and woodworking trades, as well as builders, architects and project developers, are already taking advantage of the many benefits.
We also work closely with over 1,200 premium craftsmen from various trades, the so-called JOKA specialist consultants. We can put end customers in touch with these trade partners on request. End customers can also obtain expert advice from Jordan employees in our showrooms in the various regions and experience the products live.
A culture of innovation at Jordan
Wood has been an integral part of the company as a natural, sustainable raw material for over 100 years. In cooperation with suppliers, we emphasise resource-saving and innovative production processes and focus on robust and easy-care products. For example, natural design flooring made from almost 100 per cent wood or durable decking boards made from recycled wind turbine rotor blades stand for innovation.
With the construction of the JOKA headquarters in Kassel, we as a company have combined innovative and ecological goals. Operations are virtually CO2-free and the photovoltaic system supplies an additional 5,000 households with electricity. Since 2009, photovoltaic systems have also been installed on all other new Jordan buildings, which cover up to 100% of the sites' own consumption; surplus electricity is fed into the respective grids.
Innovation is a central element in JOKA's brand code and has always been the driving force behind the company. The basis for this is, above all, active communication with employees, customers and business partners.

Under the motto "dynamic, innovative, reliable", employees and customers are at the centre of the company's activities. For more than a century, this has been the basis for our high-performance, future-orientated and human development.
Social, ecological and environmental responsibility is also particularly important to us as a company. For example, we have launched the "Baumpate" reforestation project together with the Jordan Foundation. We are also involved in the world of sport, taking responsibility for promoting top German sport and supporting up-and-coming biathletes in their careers, for example.
