Dorothea Wierer
Dorothea Wierer competes as a biathlete for the Italian Winter Sports Federation FISI and won a bronze medal in the mixed relay at the Winter Olympics in Sochi and Pyeongchang and another in the sprint in Beijing. At the 2019 Biathlon World Championships, she became the first Italian to win the world title. She also won the overall World Cup 2018/2019 and defended this title in the 2019/2020 World Cup. Her success, her radiant smile and her love of good food have made her one of Italy's most popular athletes.
Away from winter sports, Dorothea works for the financial police. In her private life, Dorothea Wierer also values an environment in which she feels comfortable. Wooden floors are really my favourite. They are cosy and make me feel good. When I spend time at home, I like to lie on the floor and just relax.
